Pipe Rush is a free online puzzle where you turn pipe tiles to build a path from the water tank to the drain. It runs in your browser with no download or sign up, works on phones and computers, and keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
Inspired by: Pipe connecting puzzles such as Pipe Mania (1989) and the many plumbing puzzles that followed.
How to play Pipe Rush
- Look at the tank on the left and the drain on the right of the grid.
- Tap or click a pipe tile to turn it a quarter turn. Straight, bend, T shaped and cross pipes are all in the mix.
- Join the tiles into one unbroken path from the tank to the drain.
- When the countdown ends the water starts to flow. Press Start water to send it early for bonus points.
- If the water reaches an open pipe end, it leaks and the game is over.
- Reach the drain to clear the level. Each new level has a bigger grid and a shorter timer.
Controls
- Keyboard: Arrow keys move the highlight. Space turns the pipe. Enter or X starts the water early.
- Mouse: Click a pipe to turn it. Click Start water to send the water early.
- Touch screen: Tap a pipe to turn it. Tap the Start water button to go early.
Tips to score higher
- Start from the tank and work towards the drain, or work back from the drain. Either way, trace the path with your eyes first.
- Only the tiles on the path matter. Ignore the rest of the grid.
- Pipes that have already been filled with water are locked, so check every bend before the flow starts.
- Starting the water early gives a time bonus, but only do it when you are sure.
- A tile with three or four openings is a trap if it touches the path. Keep an eye on those.
The story behind Pipe Rush
Pipe puzzles became popular in 1989 with a computer and console game called Pipe Mania, where players laid pipes in front of flowing slime. Since then, many versions have appeared, from plumbing puzzles on early mobile phones to quick browser games. The charm is simple: a pile of mixed up pipes, a ticking timer and the satisfaction of watching water run all the way through. If you enjoyed fixing the path on a mobile phone puzzle or in a computer lab, this one will feel comfortable and fresh at the same time.
Questions players ask
Is Pipe Rush free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign up, no download and no in-game purchases.
What happens when the timer runs out?

Yes. Press Start water before the timer ends and the remaining time turns into bonus points.
Is every level solvable?
Yes. Each level is built from a real path, then the tiles are turned around for you to fix.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Tap the pipes to rotate them. No keyboard is needed.
