Commando Run is a free online run and gun shooter with two stages and two bosses. It runs in your browser with no download or sign up, works on phones and computers, and keeps working offline once the page has loaded.

How to play Commando Run
- Run to the right through the jungle and the steel base. The screen scrolls only forward.
- Shoot soldiers, turrets and drones. Aim up, diagonally up, or down while in the air.
- Shoot the flying pods to drop a weapon. S is a spread gun, R is rapid fire and H restores health.
- Jump over pits and use the ledges. Press down and jump to drop through a ledge.
- You have three lives and three hit points for each life. A checkpoint brings you back if you fall.
- Defeat the boss at the end of each stage to move on.
Controls
- Keyboard: Arrows or WASD to move and aim. Space or Z to jump. X or K to fire. Hold fire for a steady stream. P pauses.
- Mouse: Mouse is not used. Use the keyboard or the on-screen buttons.
- Touch screen: Use the arrow pad to run and aim, the Jump button to leap and the Fire button to shoot.
Tips to score higher
- Keep moving. Standing still makes you an easy target for turrets and soldiers.
- Crouch with the down arrow to slip under shots aimed at your chest.
- Break the pods early because the spread gun makes the bosses much easier.
- Learn the cannon rhythm on the first boss. Shoot between its bursts.
- Jump at the very edge of a platform to clear the widest pits.
The story behind Commando Run
Run and gun games took off in arcades and on home consoles in the 1980s. Players ran across the screen, shot in many directions and picked up special guns from flying capsules. They were famous for fast action, tough bosses and the joy of playing with a friend. In India many of us remember them on a cartridge console at a cousin's house, passing the controller after every lost life. Commando Run is our own take with original art, a spread gun and two stages to beat.

No. It is inspired by that style of game, but all characters, art and levels are our own.
