Duck Shoot is a free shooting gallery game for your browser. Ducks burst out of the grass and you click or tap to shoot them, with 3 shots for each duck. There is no download or sign up, it works on phones and computers and keeps working offline once loaded.
Inspired by: Light gun duck shooting games of the 1980s.
How to play Duck Shoot
- Click or tap on the screen to fire. Aim the round sight at a duck.
- You get 3 shots for each duck. Watch the bullets in the bottom corner.
- Ducks fly in zigzags. If you run out of shots or time, the duck escapes.
- Each round has 10 ducks. Hit at least 6 to move to the next round.
- Every round the ducks fly faster. Golden ducks are worth extra points.
Controls
- Keyboard: Arrow keys move the sight. Space fires.
- Mouse: Move the mouse to aim and click to shoot.
- Touch screen: Tap on a duck to shoot it.
Tips to score higher
- Shoot slightly ahead of a duck that is flying fast.
- Do not spray all 3 shots at once. Wait for the duck to change direction.
- Ducks near the grass are easier to hit when they first launch.
- Keep your eyes on the duck, not on the sight.
- Hitting with your last shot earns fewer points, so try to hit early.
The story behind Duck Shoot
Shooting ducks with a toy light gun became a home gaming favourite in the mid 1980s, when Nintendo packed a plastic Zapper gun with its console and a game about hunting ducks in a field. A laughing dog became one of the most remembered characters of the era. The idea started from carnival shooting galleries, where you aimed at moving targets for a small prize. In India many of us played a version of it on a cousin's console or a school fair stall. In our version a cheeky fox takes the dog's place.

How many shots do I get?
You get 3 shots for each duck. If the duck is still flying after your third shot, it escapes.
How do I pass a round?
Hit at least 6 of the 10 ducks in the round. If you hit fewer, the game ends.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Just tap on the ducks.
Is the fox the same as the dog in the old game?
No. The fox is our own mascot. The game is our own version inspired by old duck shooting games.
