Fruit Slice is a free swipe game where fruits fly up the screen and you slice them with your finger or mouse. Chain three or more in one swipe for a combo, and stay away from the bombs. It runs in your browser with no download or sign up, works on phones and desktops, and plays offline once loaded.
Inspired by: Fruit Ninja style slicing games (2010).
How to play Fruit Slice
- Fruits are thrown up from the bottom of the screen. Swipe across them to slice them.
- Each fruit you cut gives points. Slice three or more in one swipe for a combo bonus.
- Never touch a bomb. Cutting one ends the game at once.
- If you let a fruit fall without slicing it, you get a red cross. Three crosses end the round.
- The waves get bigger and faster. Keep slicing to beat your best score.
Controls
- Mouse: Press and drag across the fruit with the mouse.
- Touch screen: Swipe across the fruit with your finger.
Tips to score higher
- Long, quick swipes catch more fruit than short taps.
- Wait for fruits to bunch up near the top of their jump, then cut them in one stroke for a combo.
- Look for the black round bomb with a lit fuse before every swipe.
- Do not chase a single fruit if a bomb is near. A miss costs a cross, a bomb costs the game.
- Lift your finger between swipes. A clean stroke is easier to aim.
The story behind Fruit Slice
Slicing games became popular in 2010, when Halfbrick released Fruit Ninja for touch phones. It showed how good a simple swipe feels on a touchscreen: a quick movement, a splash of juice and a satisfying sound. The idea spread to many other games. For many people in India it was one of the first games on a first smartphone, played one handed on a bus or while waiting for chai to cool. Our Fruit Slice is a new game with its own fruit and board, made to give you that same quick joy.
