Startup Clicker is a free idle game where you build a company from a single laptop. Click to ship code, hire a growing team, raise funding rounds from Seed to IPO and watch the revenue climb. It runs in your browser with no download or sign up, works on phones and computers, saves on its own and keeps working offline once loaded.

How to play Startup Clicker
- Tap the Ship code button to earn revenue.
- Spend your revenue on the Team tab. Interns, developers, designers, marketing, servers, AI agents and more earn money every second.
- Buy boosts to double your clicks or your team's output.
- Earn more in total to close funding rounds. Each round makes all your revenue 15% higher.
- Reach the IPO to take your company public. You can keep playing after that.
Controls
- Keyboard: Press Space or Enter to ship code. Use the mouse to buy upgrades.
- Mouse: Click the Ship code button and click the upgrades in the list.
- Touch screen: Tap the Ship code button and tap the upgrades in the list. Scroll the list with your finger.
Tips to score higher
- Buy a few cheap interns early. They start paying for themselves right away.
- A team member gets a big bonus at 25, 50 and 100 owned, so aim for those numbers.
- Click the golden dollar when it appears. It brings a lump sum or a short revenue boost.
- Check the Boosts tab often. Doubling a team that you own many of is very strong.
- Close the game and come back later. Your team keeps earning while you are away, at half speed.
The story behind Startup Clicker
Idle and clicker games became popular around 2013, when a simple browser game about clicking a cookie showed how fun it is to watch numbers grow. The idea is old, though. People have always enjoyed building something that works on its own, from model railways to simulation games like the business tycoon titles of the 1990s. A startup is a perfect fit, with its tiny beginnings, a few hires and a big dream. Founders will notice that the game follows a real path: first sales, a first team, funding rounds and finally going public.

Yes. It is free with no sign up, no download and no in-game purchases.
Does my progress save?
Yes. The game saves automatically in your browser on this device. Using the same browser later brings your company back.
Do I earn money when I am away?
Yes. When you come back, your team pays you for the time you were away, up to 8 hours, at half their normal speed.
Is there an ending?
You can reach the IPO, the final funding round, and see a win screen. You can then keep playing as a public company.
How do I start over?
Open the Team tab, scroll to the bottom and use Start a new company. You need to tap twice to confirm.
