How to play Hill Rider
- Hold gas to drive forward and brake to slow down or reverse.
- Collect gold coins for bonus points and red fuel cans to keep the tank filled.
- In the air, gas tilts the nose up and brake tilts it down. Use this to land on your wheels.
- The run ends if the driver hits the ground, the jeep falls off the track or the fuel runs out.
- Your score is the distance in metres plus five points for every coin.
Controls
- Keyboard: Right arrow, D or Up for gas. Left arrow, A or Down for brake. Space also works as gas.
- Mouse: Hold the right half of the screen for gas and the left half for brake.
- Touch screen: Hold the Gas and Brake buttons under the game, or touch the right or left half of the screen.
Tips to score higher
- Ease off the gas near the top of a hill. A huge jump is hard to land.
- Use brake in the air to lower the nose when you are flying nose up.
- Fuel cans are far apart, so do not waste fuel by holding gas downhill.
- Steep climbs need a steady speed. Slow down if the front wheel starts to lift.
- Coins that float high are worth the jump only when the landing looks flat.
