How to play Jetpack Rush
- Press and hold to fire the jetpack and rise. Let go and you fall.
- Zappers are lines of electricity. Touch one and your run is over.
- When a red warning sign flashes at the right edge, a missile is coming along that line. Move out of the way.
- Collect coins for bonus points. Each coin is worth five points and every metre is worth one.
- The longer you survive, the faster the corridor moves and the trickier the zappers get.
Controls
- Keyboard: Hold Space or Up to fly. Let go to fall. P or Esc pauses.
- Mouse: Hold the left mouse button to fly.
- Touch screen: Press and hold anywhere on the screen, or hold the Fly button.
Tips to score higher
- Tap in short bursts instead of holding. Small bursts let you hover and line up with gaps.
- When the missile warning appears, move away from that line early. It follows you for a moment, then locks.
- Stay near the middle of the corridor. You have room to go up or down in both directions.
- Do not chase every coin. A coin next to a zapper is not worth the risk.
The story behind Jetpack Rush
One button runners became a huge hit on phones in the 2010s, when a jetpack game showed how much fun a single touch could be. The idea goes back much further, to simple arcade games where you pressed a button to flap, hop or thrust, and they still work because the rules are easy to learn. Players in India often played them on shared phones during travel, passing the screen back and forth to beat each other's distance. Jetpack Rush uses its own character and corridor, with the same quick, just one more try feeling.
